Fixing RPC Server Error Problems
An RPC Server Error is one that commonly occurs with PC users when they are attempting to print. This annoying error will only get worse and while there is a workaround you can attempt, it is far better to address the situation so it doesn’t cause further problems for your PC.
RPC Server Error Symptoms
The easiest way to tell when an RPC Server Error is taking place is by simply looking at your monitor. When it happens you will be alerted to the fact with a pop up error message. Additionally, this error will hinder your ability to print some or all documents.
RPC Server Error Causes
This particular error can have several culprits as the main cause. Most of the time it is an issue with the printer’s software and/or drivers. However, it could also be that your PC is infected with a virus or that your PC’s registry has too many corrupt files. This will lead to a miscommunication between your PC and your printer and thus cause the RPC Server Error to appear.
Fixing RPC Server Error
The first thing to do when attempting an RPC Server Error fix is to run a complete virus scan of your PC. If the problem still persists, try the following:
Click on Start Button.
- In order go to Control Panel – Administrative Tools – Services.
- Find and select Printer Spooler.
- Arrested will be noted and you then start it by double clicking on Printer Spooler.
- Click the Start Button.
- Make sure the Startup Type is set to Automatic.
Restart your computer.
